I THINK (think) you can buy it by itself starting tomorrow... I dont know though...
Dude.. buy orange box :) Portal is going to be insane.

Well...TF2 will probably be 29.99 when it is released alone, and orangebox is 44.xx...orange box is 130 worth of games...if you plan on getting Episode 2 when it comes out the orangebox is definatly worth it.

I don't plan on playing Half-Life2 or either episodes. I already have Half-Life 2 and found it to be a bore.

I'll give you a little background info when it comes to Steam. I have 15 games on my steam account. About half of them I did not completely install, or haven't updated because I simply do not like them.
In those 15, I have played 3 a significant amount of time: Day of Defeat:Source, Cs 1.6, and Css. That means 20% of the games that I have with Steam I play, I am just looking for TF2 because 1.) I already have Half-Life 2, 2.) I am not interested in playing the Half-Life episodes, and 3.) Portal...meh, not my thing.
Hows that for canadian? It's a known fact canadians are bad at math, eh? Oh damnit

You can get it on it's own via Steam, no idea about in stores. I think it was about $30, do a search in the Steam store thingy and it'll tell you, mine just says I already own it.

There is a thing called the orange box that its comming out in it has a few other game in there. it comes out tomarrow.

The problem with buying it online is that I do not own a credit card. Granted I could get access to one, but I prefer the option of buying it in a store so I can get that new game smell.

I just checked my local stores online (Bestbuy Circuit City) and because Circuit city is competing heavily with Best Buy, they have lowered their price for the ORange Box to 38 bucks. No, it isn't team fortress alone, but for 10 bucks cheaper, looks like there is my solution.
