If you haven't noticed, my online time has been greatly decreased due to a hectic work schedule, combined with a hectic class schedule.
Typically, I work one job on Saturdays at a banquet hall. But as the holiday season approaches, they have been getting more and more business, so I have had to work there more and more. We only have a few employees, so basically if you have any available time to work, you have to, otherwise the function will not go well. A few weeks back, I worked a 16 hour shift, from 10am to 2am. Thankfully, we all got a raise, and the job is fun when it isn't stressful. On the other side, I will be working New Years.
I also have another job, working at a movie theatre. I only work about 25 hours a week there, but it eats up most of my nights. The only downside is that it is open every day of the year, without holiday pay. I worked thanksgiving, which wasn't a big deal because I was able to eat plently of turkey and work at night. I looked at the time off book to request christmas parties off, and I noticed that the day before, day of, and day after christmas has already been requested by most employees, so it looks like I will be working those days. This isn't a big deal with me, because as long as I can get the days that I need off for family parties, which aren't on those days, then I will be fine.
And yes, a lot of people go to the movies on Christmas.
And yes, as soon as it snows I will have a third job. I live up on a hill with three other older neighbors, and I recently purchased a truck with a plow on it. When it snows, I will be plowing the entire hill, earning roughly $75. The only downside to this, is that the snow is unpredictable. I can see my schedule as follows: up at 5am to plow; at class for 745am; going back home to plow again; going to work. It sure will be fun (sarcasm)
Ghost- student, banquet server, movie theater worker, snow plower. Say that 5 times fast.

geez and I complain about trying to fit scrims into my (mostly) 9-5 schedule...

I was pushin 50-70 hour weeks for 5 weeks when I had classes + work back in the other CAL season - feelin your pain.
I have probably about 8,000 sqft of driveway to clear this winter, and no snow plow (plastic shovels ftw!), and skinny's no help...so I'll be feelin that pain too :(
Pays off in the end though, keep at it! :)

Agreed.
School now = well paid job later hopefully.
It's what allows me to finish at 5pm mon-fri and not worry about work on weekends LOL
Stick at it ghost dude.

And this is why, now that my wife has a job, I will be putting in a snowmelt system in my driveway at the first opportunity.
