Well soon, I became friends with all the DA members. Krazy was and still is the leader, and he and I got a long great.
One day, I was offered a position in the clan, but they claimed there was a form of initiation. I had to succesfully win a 2v1 knife fight in the first try. It was myself versus DA Hybrid and DA Sin. Well, needless to say I destroyed them and became a member of my first CS;S clan.
Well, that didn't last long. As soon as a co-captain (Nexus) saw me with my tags, he told me to remove them and told me that those 2 could not recruit. Luckily, Krazy came on a week later and told me that I had earned a spot through my dedication to the server and skill.
Soon, I was granted admin by the fine people at spawnpoint.com, on April 24 of 2006. (I remember because that was the day I became a member of spawnpoint)
Things were going great. I continued to play until roughly May of 06, when they realeased one of those oh so famous steam updates. Well this steam update really messed with my comp, so bad that I could not join any maps. I tried everything under the sun: uninstall and reinstall(3 times) defrag my computer(3 times) deleted all unnecessary things in my Hard Drive. But I was not a comp wiz, so nothing helped.
I was forced to give up the game and take the summer off. Until one day, I thought that it would be really nice if they released a new steam update that allowed me to play once more. So I reinstalled the game, fiddled with my Firewall, and boom...SUCCESS!!!
I was incredibly happy, and right away I went into the DA server and reclaimed my spot as a member. Unfortunately, as time passed, a lot of members left. That made me a senior member, and Krazy gave me the position of 3rd in command.
Things were great, I even began to expand my horizon into maps other than assault and got re-acqauinted with another old clan, PHXX.
Well, time passed, and I grew to truly dislike assault. For some reason, that map took a toll on my comp. I couldn't play for more than 20 min, then my FPS would drop down to single digits. As that happend, I spent more and more time on East2 and getting to be friends with PHXX.
Earlier this year, I was given the opportunity to become a Senior Server Admin (know known as Server Support Staff) with spawnpoint.com. It was something that I had always wanted to do. It was a honor that I still hold today.
Time passed, not a whole lot of time, about a month. In February, I made it official that I was leaving DA. I had many different reasons, of which I will keep to myself, but I decided it was for the best.
About a month later, I was offered the position in another clan, known as PHXX. I graciously accepted, and the rest they say is history..
Well nobody has asked how I came to be a gamer, so I figured I would stuff it down your throats so you would find out.
Right around October of 2005, my brother introduced me to CounterStrike: Source. He got the game off his roomate, who pirated a version from the internet. I was attracted to it after the rc modulater to run the N64 crapped the bed, and I couldn't play my beloved Goldeneye. I was instantly hooked. Because it was a stolen version of the game, I could only play Created games versus bots, but it was still awesome.
I would play for hours and hours, using every gun in the game and would celebrate when I recieved a record setting score of 11-19 (bots on easy).
Well soon enough I asked my parents (yeah, I'm only 19 and I live with my parents) to get me the game for Christmas. I installed it on my brothers laptop and searched for a good server to play on. I found one that had something to do with beatles, but it was full of abusive admins that kicked me for sucking.
Within 3 days of having it installed, I located 69.90.174.11:27015, better known as Spawnpoints |DA| Assault server. I was hooked, quickly spending 10-12 hours a day on it.
I loved every minuted spent fragging, and soon picked up my laptop and pimped it out a bit to play CS:S. Every minute was of course spent on the DA server.
The rest will be said when...I feel like it
